Károlyi–Csekonics Palace

The Károlyi–Csekonics Palace is one of the most remarkable historic buildings in the heart of Budapest and an important cultural and academic venue of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. Located in the historic Palace Quarter, the building complex reflects the architectural heritage and distinguished history of the area.

The palace is associated with the Károlyi and Csekonics families, two prominent aristocratic families whose history is closely connected to Hungary’s cultural and social heritage. Over the centuries, the complex has undergone several transformations while retaining many of its original architectural features and historic character.

Following an extensive restoration, the Károlyi–Csekonics Palace has been renewed as a modern university and event venue. Its elegant interiors and historic atmosphere provide a distinctive setting for academic conferences, lectures, diplomatic events and international meetings, bringing together the architectural heritage of Budapest and the contemporary intellectual life of the university.
